Falls are a significant safety concern in aged residential care and can affect an older person's mobility, independence, confidence and quality of life. This course provides nurses with a practical, person-centred approach to falls assessment and prevention, focusing on identifying contributing factors, assessing changing risks and implementing appropriate interventions. You will explore multifactorial falls assessment, environmental and medication-related risks, safe mobility, post-fall assessment, individualised care planning and quality improvement. The course emphasises balancing safety with independence, dignity and the resident's preferences, while supporting nurses to assess, act, review and learn from every fall. CPD Hours: 30min
