The Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) Six Pou provide a foundation for safe, effective, culturally responsive and person-centred nursing practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. This course breaks the Pou and their descriptors into clear, manageable sections, with practical examples to help you understand how they apply to everyday practice. You will be encouraged to reflect on your own experiences and use your own words and examples when developing evidence of competence. You can use the course content as a resource document. Once you have familiarised yourself with the content, you will have greater confidence in understanding the Six Pou and applying them to your professional practice.
